For those of you who remember, as a Communications Studies student, I worked for a few months this year on a big research project. We tracked 32 college-age Caucasian females to see how they view and perceive advertisements differently based on the race of the model in the ad. We wrote a paper on it and sent it to a conference. Here is a portion of the email our professor forwarded to us from the Vice President of the Council for the conference:
Congratulations on your excellent research! We are pleased to inform you that your paper has been accepted for presentation at the 2009 SWECJMC Southwest Symposium at the University of Texas in Arlington. The conference takes place on Nov. 6 and 7th.
We are so excited!

How cool, do you get to go present it in person?
Well, there's six of us, and only one get's to actually do the presentation. But we're hoping we can all go still. It'll be way cool!
